I just remembered I have a blog!

I can't imagine anyone keeping a daily blog. I have a yearly blog. Anyway, things are still pretty much the same as they always have been. We are happy, healthy and still living in our little, albeit, better looking home. After a year of stucco, sprinklers and sod, our home is proving to be a sweet little abode. The kids are playing out back on a bed of lovely grass, while the blossoms from the almond trees float down like snowflakes. It is very pretty. Better than dirt, I can tell you that! We will be heading down to Disneyland soon, and so be prepared for an update soon. Here are some recent pics. Enjoy!

Hey people who look at this blog. Happy new year, as you know the last time I posted was June of 2009. Im sorry Uncle Paul. Ellie is now in 5th grade, Lily in 2nd, and Noah in kindergarten, my baby! We are all doing well. Nobody got swine flu (knock on wood.) .Lily is doing dance ballet tap and jazz. Im trying to get Ellie to do tap. She's so good! Once again, sorry I didnt post. Bye!!!!

Let me just say I was abruptly stopped on my last entry. So, in order to sum things up again, Noah is in Tee-Ball and will be starting Kindergarten in August. I am so excited for him. He loved preschool and did very well. Ellie is going into 5th grade and Lily will go into 2nd grade. Time flies. Here are some pictures.

Today it was 110 degrees in Vacaville! 110!!!!! It was actually 2 degrees hotter than Death Valley. We live in Deathville. Our air conditioner is running like crazy and it is still 85 in our house. Anyway, to recap the last couple of months: Sam and I got to go to Las Vegas (104 degrees!). He went for a work conference and I flew out to meet him. We had our first ever weekend alone. Good food. I see why they call it "sin city" though. We had a great time, regardless.

The kids are done with school. We are on summer break. Ellie and Lily had their dance recital and Noah is in Tee Ball...

Lily lost her first tooth!!! The Tooth Fairy brought her $5! AND...after the Tooth Fairy came, Lily got sick, puked in her bed and on her $5. What a fun night.

Also, Maile turned 3!!! We haven't had a kid party yet because of the stomach virus ravaging my family. Next week will be the kid party, but we did have a nice time with some family. We took Maile out to eat fetticini alfredo. She opened some presents and had some cheesecake with a candle in it. The hit of the night was her Belle dress, which she wore all evening, night and the next day. I finally scraped it off her body to wash it.

Yesterday we took the kids to the Acadamy of Sciences. We had a great time seeing the fish at the Steinheart Aquarium. The Jellyfish were a big hit. We had a nice lunch, walked around Golden Gate Park and went out to ice cream. I love San Francisco! Something also fun, we saw a groundhog poking his head out of his hole in the ground. So cute! We had a nice picnic too! The weather was beautiful. What a fun day for the Kaai family!

I took some new pictures of my kids. We went to the park and I took some great shots. My sister came with her kids and my mom came too. We had fun and the kids did really well.

We are all feeling well and doing fine. I haven't been on the computer for a while so It always takes forever to update my blog, but I finally did it. Enjoy the pics!

My Uncle Paul's birthday is on Christmas Day so I thought I'd have my kids make a sign so we could post it for him. Uncle Paul lives in Barrington, Illinois so he is not close for us to see him. I do know he likes to look at my blog sometimes so I hope he see's this.

We love and miss you Uncle Paul! Have a Happy Birthday and a Merry Christmas!

Please note Macy was sleeping during this and Noah was not in the mood to be in the picture, so I took a separate one of him. The face was his idea. Also, the girls were happy even though they don't look it.

I am sorry I have not updated this in such a long time. I have joined Facebook and have completely neglected my blog. Also, my computer ran out of memory and for some reason, you can't run a computer without memory. We just bought a new hard drive and it will be installed soon and I can update with pictures too! So here are a bunch of pictures of what has been going on in our lives. Fish, fish and not a bite to eat! My mom and I took the kids up to Apple Hill and there is a little fishing hole where you rent a pole and can fish. We were the only ones fishing, and not one bite! If you click on the picture of just the water, fish are just sitting there. One actually jumped out of the water onto the shore, giving Ellie a heart attack! NOT ONE BITE!!! There are also some pictures of the kids at Bodega Bay. We went for the weekend with Sam's family. It was soo nice. You will also see a picture of 4 girls, that was Lily's birthday party. I took the girls to get their nails polished at a salon. Lily looked beautiful that day. Last you will see a picture of Ellie with cake on her face. My baby brother turned 21 (sigh). At his party, Ellie dared my mom to put a piece of cake on her (Ellie) face. I don't think Ellie thought Grandma really would. Boy was she surprised! My little Macy is the cutest thing in the whole world. Such a chub-a-wub. Love the blond fluff for hair. She is soo sweet! Enjoy the pics!

Bodega Bay

So we had a nice long weekend in Bodega Bay. I love the ocean. Mountains are cool I guess...but the ocean is where it is at!!! We had a great time at the beach house we usually stay at. It is beautiful. We went with Sam's dad, sisters, spouses and baby Kainoa, who is his sister Julie's baby. He is about 6 weeks younger than Macy who will be 1 at the end of the month. I'll post pics asap.

Ok. Do you want to know why I haven't blogged for a while???? I dropped my camera and now it won't turn on so I can download some pictures. Who wants to read a blog? I like pictures! So let's see, Ellie and Lily started school, Noah started pre-school, Lily has ballet on Tuesday, Ellie has Tap and Jazz on Thursday, Noah has soccer on Thursday, Ellie has Musical Theater on Friday and she also has Activity Days (church stuff) every other Tuesday night. I am a taxi. Totally OK though. I love it. They look so cute doing their thing.

Lily just had her 6th birthday. Today I took 5 little girls to the nail salon and they got their fingernails and toenails painted. Then we went fancy, and went to Olive Garden. What a fancy, fancy day! Fun. Thanks to every one who sent cards and gifts! Lily is a happy camper!

I'll post some pictures as soon as I can.

Our Last Disneyland Trip..(for now...)

We had so much fun at Disneyland with our best friends the Kapele's! We were there during the earthquake. We were waiting for a table at the Rainforest Cafe when the ground started to shake! My first thought was it was part of Rainforest's schpeel, you know, like the thunder and rain and stuff. Then, very quickly, I realized it was an earthquake. My legs were shaking too! I hadn't felt an earthquake like that in a long time. I grabbed the kids and Sam because I just wanted to go outside for some air and the lady at the front said "Betty, party of 14, your adventure is ready to begin!" I was like "Too Late!" Anyway, we got to our table and we were all trying to call home to let everyone know we were OK, but the lines were tied. Eventually we got our families and told them. They closed the rides at Disneyland for a while, so it was a good thing we decided to eat first, because everyone came to Downtown Disney. It was an interesting day. FUN, but interesting. The rest of the week was great.

We went on the storybook boat ride. When we passed Cinderella's castle, Noah said "Who's Cinderella?" I said "The chick in blue!" then Lily said "She's not a chicken!" I laughed sooo hard. We also went to Hollywood and Mann's Chinese Theater. I put my hands in Johnny Depp's hand prints. Need I say more???

We got home Saturday evening, and all was well. We had such a good time. Our Disney season passes expire on August 13. I will wear black in mourning.

BUT...This Saturday we are pouring concrete!!! Yeah! I will be able to work on my backyard. I want to hang chinese lanterns.

I am sorry for not posting on my blog in...forever. So much to say. I'll sum up: Had Noah's 4th birthday party, Uncle Paul came to visit (my kids LOVE Uncle Paul...he is my uncle), had my nephew Justin's 7th birthday, we are in the process of redoing our back yard, Lily started Ballet, Noah started soccer, Ellie and Lily started musical theatre class, Maile is still a stinker, Macy got her first tooth and we leave in 7 hours for Disneyland. My sweet little Ellie did that last post when I was sick in bed. Sunday three of us got sick. Today is Tuesday and I am still getting over it. Kristen, Frank and Clay have it too. So does Sam's sister Julie and my friend Amber's son Michael. They're camping. That sucks. This bug is a bad one. Don't stay on my blog too long or you might get it. Thanks to Trish for offering to send chocolate, but tomorrow is supposed to be 111 degrees! Actually today. It is 4 am and I am up doing this. At least it is productive. I was watching Duran Duran videos a minute ago.

Sorry, sorry, sorry. I know it has been a while since I last blogged. Lots going on. We got our new air conditioner. Awesome. Yesterday was like 100 degrees and we slept great! We took the kids to Discovery Kingdom (Marine World). They mostly played in the water attractions. It was hot.

Saturday we helped my mom with a reception for her friend Karen. Karen's husband died a couple of years ago, and the guy she married, Leo, his wife died a couple of years ago too. So they hooked up! Totally cute. My mom did the reception for them and it was awesome. Except that Lily puked twice. I got some great pictures of my mom doing the "Chicken Dance" with some of the grandkids. The reception was over by then but I couldn't help taking pictures. So cute.

The girls had "dance" night at their school. Each grade does a dance, and there is a BBQ, and then you can bid on baskets. Lily's class did the song "Going to Kentucky" and Ellie's class dances to "Shining Star". Totally cute.

We also went to Marine World. Here are some pics of that.

The only funny thing worth mentioning this week is Noah asked me where my "wiener" was. We had a brief anatomy lesson. No pics of that.

So...do you remember that HUGE storm we had in January? We were in Disneyland, but here at home our swamp cooler blew over (we do not have an air conditioner) and so now that it is about a million degrees outside, it is a million and ten degrees in my house. Think I'm exagerating? (Is that how you spell exagerating? eggsadurading...exacturating...exaggerating???) Anyway, see those candles? They melted. In my house. Just sitting on my desk. I heard a clunk, one fell on the floor. Two are leaning, totally melting. My kids have been outside all day playing on a waterslide my friends AJ and Amy gave us. Thank goodness, or my kids would be melting! They also got muddy. The slide leaked and our lovely dirt yard turned into mud...so like the little piggies they are, they played in it. It is now 11:34 pm and I want to go to sleep in my hot bed.

And just so no one worries...we are getting central air next week. I will be a happy, cool, camper!

Last night Sam, Ellie and I went to the Dixon May Fair. I know, I know. Whoo-hoo, right? Well it WAS whoo-hoo! We saw the B-52's! Fun, fun, fun. We were with Ellie's best friend and her family. I got my big bag of kettle corn and I was ready to ROCK! It was great!

Disneyland Again!

We just got back from Disneyland again! We had so much fun. It was hot for the first few days but still fun. My mom and brother came too, my kids loved that! Can't wait to do it again. I did try on a $24,000 diamond ring. I really liked that. My best bud Kristen, her mother in law and her kids went down too. we only saw her for a second, but we got a picture. Here some pics!

Welcome to the world Baby Kaitlin! How cute is she? Kaitlin was born to my sister Kelly on Saturday, April 12, around 12:30 am I think. I don't know the exact time. She was 7 lbs 3 oz and was 20 inches long. She is soo cute! Kelly is doing ok. She had some complications. We are praying Kelly will recover well and be on her feet again soon. Maile Turns 2!!

Due to sickness, meaning my whole, stinkin family was/is sick, I didn't throw my usual big birthday bash for Maile. Instead, a few family members came over and we had cake and presents. Luckily Maile is young enough that this didn't really bother her. Here are some pictures:Daddy and Maile

Anyway it was fun even though I felt awful, Noah had a fever of 102 and everyone has the sniffles. Oh, yeah. I turned 36 on the 20th. I am closer to 40 now than 30. So sad. Oh well. I have more than I ever though I would, and I don't just mean kids! Bye for now.

OK, I know I haven't blogged in, well, forever. Like all my buddies I am reading the Twilight series of books. Therefore, I now have about 50 loads of laundry, my kids have eaten nothing but cereal, and I think vampires are real. Great books!

Macy is doing much better, she does have a new virus, with a rash, but she can breath. Maile has an ear infection though. And If I could bottle snot and sell it, I would be RICH! Not mine, my kids. I'm not that gross.

My computer is on the fritz, so I can't download any pics just yet, soon though.

Finally, Thanks to everyone who made my birthday totally great! Thanks to Uncle Paul for the card and cash. I am so excited to spend it on something other than diapers! Mom, thanks for everything! Sam and my kids, thanks for a great day!

Sick Little Macy

On Monday, January 28 I took Macy to the doctor because she seemed a little wheezy. All my kids were sick so I didn't think too much of it. Well, they checked her oxygen level and it was at 83! They made her go to Walnut Creek Kaiser (in an ambulance...) where they have a pediatric unit and she was there for 4 days with pnumonia and what we thought was RSV but was some other virus. She is doing better now, but it was so sad to see her little body hooked up to all those wires and tubes. I'll put in a picture as soon as I can.

Look at this HONKIN monster that was in my garage!!! I realize black widows are an everyday thing for some people, but I don't see them very often and when I do, well...it just really sucks. I hate spiders anyway much less spiders that could kill my 3 smallest children. With that said, I made Sam kill it. So, I just thought you all might want to see it before it got shmooshed.

Look at those smooshie lips! She is such a chub-a-wub. Don't you just love the new language I have invented? I have forgotten what normal language is like. Macy's nickname is Chubbywubby Stinkycheese. The stinky cheese part is just because I think formula makes babies smell like cheese. Macy anyway. My sister Kelly was holding her today and she was just so cuddle-y. Not Kelly. Macy. Well, I guess Kelly was too, because Macy snuggled right up and fell asleep. Not hard for Macy to do though.

We had so much fun at the movies! We saw 27 Dresses. It is such a chick flick, but funny! I also watched The Nanny Diaries. I give it a thumbs up. Very cute.

Macy is crying now. Guess I'm done...

OK, OK, OK... I had to do pink. I found it and loved it. So THIS will be our new look.

All is well after my crazy day. I've been able to sleep, no one else has puked, except for the normal baby puke Macy does. Tonight I get to go on a "girls night out" with some of my buddies: my sister, Kristen, Amber, Amber's sister (I think Rebecca) and maybe Kristen's sister, I told her to call her. (Kristen just called and her sister is going to go! Yeah!) I love girls night out. The more the merrier! My poor mom is babysitting for me. I think the kids and her will play the Wii though. My mom is bowler. She explained to me the scoring in bowling. It's not what you think. Quite complicated. After the movie, Kelly and I will come back to my house and hang out with mom. I see a bowling tournament coming up...

Review of the last 13 hours of Betty's life: NOT FOR THOSE WITH A WEAK STOMACH

12:45 am Fall asleep on couch holding Macy who FINALLY falls asleep too
2:00 am Put Macy in her bassinet, get Maile who is crying, schooch Ellie (who is now in our bed)over towards Sam and slip into bed holding Maile.
4:00 am Maile still fussing, her breathing sounds labored.
4:30 am Give Maile an ashthma treatment. She does not like it and screams the whole 10-15 minutes. She is now wide awake. We lay on couch and watch cartoons. I try and doze.
5:30 am Try and calm Maile down. She is crying and fussing for no apparent reason.
5:32 am Clean Maile's PUKE off of her, the couch, the blanket and me.
6:00 am Change nightshirt, Lay back on stinky couch to try and sleep.
6:45 am Noah wakes up and is thirsty.
6:46 am Get Noah a drink. Listen to him play Geotrax in the livingroom yelling "Rock it down the Rails!!!"
7:30 am Wake up Ellie for school.
7:40 am Wake up Ellie for school again.
7:45 am Hear Macy wake up, get bottle.
7:55 am Feed Macy while browsing internet.
8:15 am Get Ellie's homework and snack together.
8:25 am Get Ellie off to school
8:30 am Change Macy's poopy diaper. Maile finally falls asleep on couch.
8:35 am Eat 3 cookies for breakfast.
8:45 am Lily wakes up. She is thirsty.
9:00 am Go get back in bed.
9:15 am Sam wakes up and asks why I'm so tired. He gets up and takes over.
9:30 am Fall asleep
10:30 am Wake up with Sam asking me if Lily can wear "that" to school. Get up and change Lily's clothes.
10:45 am Maile now awake and crying on couch. Make her a waffle. Get Macy who is now crying.
11:15 am Get back in bed. Noah comes in with a poopy diaper.
11:20 am Change Noah's Diaper, put him in underwear.
11:30 am Hang out with Noah while he sits on potty. Read 2 potty books. He farts.
12:00 pm SHOWER, hang out with Noah again. Fart.
12:15 pm Look for Sam's car keys while feeding Macy.
12:30 pm Change Macy's poopy diaper, ask Noah if he has to go potty. No.
12:45 pm Say bye to Sam.
12:46 pm Maile comes out of my room naked and smelly. Go to my room to find empty diaper on floor, blanket on floor, half of bedspread on floor, poop on floor, pee on floor, poop on blanket, poop on bed spread, poop in the shape of small footprint on her jammies.
12:50 pm Clean up Maile and poop mess.
1:04 pm Come out to livingroom to find Noah in the middle of his pee, on train set.
1:10 pm Clean up Noah and pee.
1:20ish Sit down at computer to type this crazy day up and put my foot in a paper plate of smooshed waffles and syrup. Macy is crying balisticly. I stand up, she stops. I sit, she cries.
1:30 pm Change Macy's poopy diaper. Change my shirt with more PUKE on it.
1:50 pm I finish this entry for my blog one handed, because I am holding a sleeping baby.
The girls will be home in 10 minutes.

How funny is she??? Maile likes to get pajamas, tee shirts, underwear or in this case, a swimsuit, and put them on her head. I think she thinks she is putting them on, and usually, except for the underwear, they actually make it to her shoulders. She just came out of the girls room thinking she was so pretty. The swimsuit is actually for a 6-12 month old. I don't even know where she found it. After I took her picture, Noah wanted his picture taken. He is sooo cute. He always tells me how happy he is we have a baby. What a sweetheart. It almost makes up for all the sneaky things he does. Almost.

Disneyland

We had the BEST time at Disneyland! Yes, there was a huge storm over all of California. Yes, we did experience it on Friday. However, we were walking onto the rides! Thursday was packed, I think it was all the people from the Rose Parade. I thought for sure Friday and Saturday would be worse, but we lucked out with the rain. No one was there. (That is Disneyland talk for "no one". In real life there was probably 40,000 people there.) Auntie Sandra and Uncle Ty were there with us on Thursday and Friday so we had some extra hands. Noah decided to puke in California Adventure so Sandra and Ty kept Noah, Maile and Macy so Sam and I could go on some big kid rides with Ellie and Lily. It was a good thing too, because that is when the storm really hit. We were like pioneers walking back to our hotel at 10:45 at night with the girls. Except we had shoes. And we weren't starving. And we had rain ponchos. OK, so we were nothing like pioneers. I felt like it at the time though. Enjoy the pic's!

Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas! Ellie got an MP3 player, Lily got ballerina stuff, Noah got GeoTrax (of course), Maile got a Minnie Mouse and Macy got diapers!! I bought myself lots of good stuff and after Christmas, Sam went and bought himself a thing for his guitar. We had everyone over on Christmas eve, then did the old, Christmas morning at our house, lunch at Grandma's house and dinner at Grandpa's house. We received many presents! It was fun.

WE GOT A Wii!!!!!! Sam and I stayed up until 1:30 the other night playing it. Soooo much fun!

Tonight is New Years Eve and Grandma and Grandpa are here. Also our friends, the Glenns are here. We are having fun.

I can't wait to go to bed.

Well Macy is now 6 weeks and doing great! My best friend Kristen's sister had a baby on Dec. 7 and he is doing great! His name is Max and get this...12 lbs 3 oz!!!!! HE WAS 12 POUNDS!!!! So cute. Born with rolls. How come fat thighs are cute on babies and not 35 year old women? Sheesh.

Sam's sister Julie had her baby last night, Dec.12, at 10:58 pm. Julie was on Pitocin, a labor inducing drug, for 24 hours and was barely dialating, so she needed a C-section. She did it with flying colors, and baby Kainoa Kala was born at 5lbs 5oz and 18 1/2 inches long. I get to go see them today and I'm so excited.

In 7th grade I hated this guy named Donovan Barks for calling me "Trendy". Well, now I am trendy. I have created a blog for my family. This is just for my close friends and family to look at, so if you are a nut-job, please go back to your nut-job web sites and leave us alone. With that said, a few updates:

Ellie (8) and Lily (5) are in school. Noah (3), Maile (21 months) and Macy (1 month) are all at home with me. Sam still works. I still do laundry. A lot.
